James Lockhart director of the FHFA steps down

Giant mortgage finance companies Fannie May and Freddie Mac head James Lockhart will step down by the end of the month. A replacement is yet to be named for the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency officials say. Uncertainty revolving around the Obama's administration plans for the two companies should be reveiled early next year.
