Pensacola Naval-Flight Academy Breaks Ground
Ever dream of flying when you were a kid? After 10 years of planning the National Flight Academy of Pensacola Naval Air Station has broken ground and is scheduled to open in May 2011. A 5 ½ day educational camp teaching science, engineering, technology and math will be offered to students from grades 7-12. This $26,5 million project for hopeful future flyers creates an exciting virtual world. Preparing for flight missions using aircraft stimulators, sleeping in bunks and mimicking the military’s rigorous daily routine, while living inside an aircraft carrier! HOW COOL IS THAT! Thanks for all your hard work Adm. Gerald Hoewing, President of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation. Our Youths are tomorrow’s Leaders and I applaud you for giving them the opportunity to grow in a healthy environment reinforcing that 'If you believe in yourself all your dream can come true.'
